Not many would know that ‘Kanga Hire’ was established in the late 80’s and wow, have we been on an amazing ride ever since!!
Purely a self-drive hire business, it became an extension of a trailer hire business – Al’s Trailer and together, the two identities merged and became Kanga Coachlines.
With 10 mini buses it was a very niche market and only self-drive, however the charter was also an area that had potential for growth. In the early 90’s a government disability run was successfully acquired and so began the charter division. Very quickly the fleet doubled in size and a thriving operation was in full flight.
The small depot conveniently and very prominently located only 5 minutes from the Adelaide CBD was home for over 20 years. However it was time for a change, the business needed to expand and this meant moving location. Kanga relocated its operation to a much larger facility, 15 minutes north of the CBD to Mawson Lakes – this was the start of the explosion which has taken Kanga to the ‘next level’. Quality fleet replacement began to happen in rapid form and with this increased capacity and image soon many new clients came to enjoy our high levels of service, honesty and absolute commitment to achieve customer satisfaction.
Now proudly boasting a fleet of over 40 buses and coaches, the average fleet age of under 3 years is unrivalled within the industry. All of our vehicles are maintained to the highest of standards and serviced by only the best technicians. We want every aspect of Kanga to match the brilliance and quality of our vehicles. Our depot, office facilities, drivers and equipment are all impeccably presented – no exceptions!
The most important aspect of our company is the fantastic, dedicated team of drivers, administration and support staff. We are extremely committed to ensure we have the best people on board, all striving to maintain our high levels of service, commitment to our passengers and strong core values. All our drivers are inducted, trained and educated prior to driving with passengers – we want to be 110% certain the correct person is behind the wheel.
